The District operates on a fiscal year budgetary system. District funding is primarily provided through permit fees paid by businesses and industries that emit air pollution, State vehicle clean air surcharge, and grant funding administration.
The District budget is revised annually in the Spring. Pursuant to the requirements of Health and Safety Code Section 40131, a public notice and a 30-day public comment period is held to allow the public an opportunity to comment on proposed budgets. Please check the District's Public Notice web page for these yearly notifications.

North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District
